The outer configuration consists of several wide main streets, intersected by many seclude alleyways. Once entering the private courtyard, one is greeted with a great open space. Streets and alleys interconnecting each individual residence provide easy communication with neighbors, yet also affords considerable privacy. Similar to the Forbidden City, the deeper one traverses, the more secluded one gets.
No matter where one happens to be standing at Cathay View, one can experience the scenery as a work of art. Traveling the streets and alleys, the dynamic nature of the design becomes apparent as one is met by constantly changing impressions, thoroughly capturing the rhythm of life. |
